ಬೆಳಗಿದರಾರುತಿಯ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣಗೆ ರುಕ್ಮಿಣಿ ಬೆಳಗಿದಳು ॥ಪ॥
ಗೋಕುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಗೋವುಗಳನ್ನೆ ಕಾಯ್ದ
ಗೋಪಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣನೆ ಎನಗೆ ವರನಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು॥೧॥
ಮಧುರೆಗೆ ಪೋಗಿ ಮಾವ ಕಂಸನ ಕೊಂದ
ಮಾಧವ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಎನಗೆ ವರನಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು॥೨॥
ಕಡಗೋಲನೆ ಪಿಡಿದು ಕಡುಮುದ್ದು ಸುರಿಯುವ

ಅರ್ಥ: ದೇವದೇವನಾದ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನಿಗೆ ರುಕ್ಮಿಣೀ ದೇವಿಯು ಮಂಗಳಾರತಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಬೆಳಗಿದಳು.
ಚರಣ ೧
ಗೋಕುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಗೋವುಗಳನ್ನೆ ಕಾಯ್ದ
ಗೋಪಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣನೆ ಎನಗೆ ವರನಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು॥೧॥
ರ್ಥ: ಗೋಕುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವತರಿಸಿ, ಗೋವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸಿ ಕಾಪಾಡಿದ ಆ ಗೋಪಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣನೇ ನನಗೆ ಪತಿಯಾಗಿ (ವರನಾಗಿ) ಬರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಯಸಿ ಆರತಿಯೆತ್ತಿದಳು.
