ಅರ್ಥ: ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಭಗವಂತನ ನಾಮವನ್ನು "ಉಧೋ ಉಧೋ" ಎಂದು ಜಪಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಪರಮಾನಂದ (ಮುದ) ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಅರ್ಥ: ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಪ್ರವಾಹವೇ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಸಕಲವೂ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದಲೇ ಪಡೆದದ್ದು. ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ಮರಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಸಾಕು, ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಶುಭವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಅರ್ಥ: ವಿವೇಕ ಎಂಬ ಚೌಡಕಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು, ಏಕಾಗ್ರತೆ ಎಂಬ ತಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿದು, ಭಕ್ತಿಯ ರಂಗಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಗೊಂದಳವನ್ನು (ಭಕ್ತಿ ಸೇವೆ) ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಅರ್ಥ: ದೇವರ ನಾಮಾವಳಿಗಳನ್ನೇ ಕವಡೆಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ಪ್ರೇಮದ ಬಂಡಾರವನ್ನು ಸುರಿದು, ಜ್ಞಾನದ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚಿ, ಭಕ್ತಿಗೀತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಗೆಜ್ಜೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಕುಣಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಅರ್ಥ: ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನ ಸಜ್ಜನರ ಮೊರೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ಭವ ಎಂಬ ಮಹಿಷಾಸುರನಿಗೆ (ಸಂಸಾರ ಬಂಧನ) ತಕ್ಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುತ್ತೀಯಾ.

ಅರ್ಥ: ತುಳಜಾಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವ ಭಗವಂತನೇ, ನಾನು ಅಲ್ಪಜ್ಞಾನಿ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸು. ಘನವಾದ ಗುರು ಮಹಿಪತಿಯೇ, ನನಗೆ ವರವನ್ನು ನೀಡು.

Bhava mahishasura nasuvanu holi | Javadali madide tunushili
Meaning: Hearing the pleas of the righteous, You destroy the 'Mahishasura' (symbolizing worldly illusion/attachments) and liberate the soul.

Muni manasa tulajapura gehi | Khunadorisi nija sohi |
Ene nariyadavanendu aritu kayi | Ghanaguru mahipati varadayi
Meaning: O Resident of Tulajapura, knowing me to be ignorant, please protect me. O Great Guru Mahipati, please be the bestower of boons.
