ಈ ಕೀರ್ತನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕವಿ ತಮಗೆ ಸಿಗುವ ಸುಖ-ಕಷ್ಟಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ದೇವರ ಇಚ್ಛೆ ಎಂದು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿ, ಭಗವಂತನಿಗೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಶರಣಾಗತಿಯನ್ನು (ಶರಣಾಗತಿ ಭಾವ) ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನೀನು ಉಡಲು ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು (ಪಟ್ಟೆಪೀತಾಂಬರ) ನೀಡಿದರೆ ಅದನ್ನೇ ಉಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಹರಿದ ಚಿಂದಿ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನಾದರೂ ತೊಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಇರುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಷಡ್ರಸೋಪೇತವಾದ ಮೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ನ ಭೋಜನವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಉಣ್ಣುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಎಂಜಲು ಅನ್ನವನ್ನೇ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ (ತುಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ) ಅದನ್ನೇ ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ಮಲಗಲು ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಲಗುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಬರಿ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಲಗಲು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ (ಭೂಶಯನ) ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಒರಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಹೊದೆಯಲು ಬೆಲೆಬಾಳುವ ಶಾಲು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಬೇಡವೆನ್ನದೆ ಹೊದೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಬರಿ ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನೇ ಹೊದೆದುಕೊ ಎಂದರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೂ ಸಿದ್ಧನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ನೀಕೊಟ್ಟರುಂಟು ಕೊಡದಿದ್ದರೇನುಂಟುಬೇಕು ಬೇಡಗಳು ನಿನ್ನಿಚ್ಛೆಯಾಧೀನ
ಲೋಕೇಶ ಗದುಗಿನ ವೀರನಾರಾಯಣ ಸಾಕು ಬಿಡಿಸಯ್ಯ ನರಜನ್ಮದ ಗಂಟು
ನೀನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಉಂಟು, ಕೊಡದಿದ್ದರೆ ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನನಗೆ ಯಾವುದು ಬೇಕು, ಯಾವುದು ಬೇಡ ಎನ್ನುವುದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಇಚ್ಛೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು. ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಗದುಗಿನ ವೀರನಾರಾಯಣನೇ, ನನಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಈ ಸಂಸಾರದ ಒಡನಾಟ ಸಾಕು, ಈ ಮಾನವ ಜನ್ಮದ ಭವಬಂಧನದ ಗಂಟನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ನನಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತಿ ನೀಡು.

Summary
In this kirtana, the poet expresses absolute surrender (Sharanagati) to the divine will, accepting whatever joys or sorrows life brings. He declares, "O Hari, I will remain exactly as you keep me and accept whatever you give as your blessing." Stripping away all ego and worldly desires, he ultimately prays to Veeranarayana of Gadag to release him from the bonds of worldly existence and grant him liberation.

If you give me fine silk garments (Pattepitambara) to wear, I will wear them; if there are no clothes, I will contentedly wear torn rags. If you bless me with a grand, delicious feast (Mrishtanna Bhojana), I will eat it; but if you give me leftover scraps, I will consume them with absolute satisfaction and joy.

ಹಾಸಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ನಾ ಮಲಗುವೆಭೂಶಯನವಿತ್ತರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೆ ಒರಗುವೆ
ಆ ಶಾಲು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಹೊದೆಯದೆ ಬಿಡದಾಕಾಶವ ಹೊದಿಯೆಂದರೆ ಹೊದೆಯುವೆ ಬರಿಯೆ
If you give me a comfortable bed, I will sleep on it; if you give me the bare earth to sleep on (Bhooshayana), I will recline right there. If you grant me a fine shawl, I will wrap myself in it; and if you tell me to wrap myself in nothing but the bare, open sky, I am ready to do that too.

ನೀಕೊಟ್ಟರುಂಟು ಕೊಡದಿದ್ದರೇನುಂಟುಬೇಕು ಬೇಡಗಳು ನಿನ್ನiಚ್ಛೆಯಾಧೀನ
ಲೋಕೇಶ ಗದುಗಿನ ವೀರನಾರಾಯಣ ಸಾಕು ಬಿಡಿಸಯ್ಯ ನರಜನ್ಮದ ಗಂಟು
If you give, I have everything; if you do not, I have nothing. All my wants and dislikes are entirely dependent on your divine will. O Lord of the Universe, Veeranarayana of Gadag, I have had enough of this worldly existence; please untie this knot of human birth and set me free.
