ಅರ್ಥ (Meaning Parawise)
ಪಲ್ಲವಿ:

ಅರ್ಥ: ರಾವಣನೇ ಕೇಳು, ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಅಶೋಕವನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ವಿಚಿತ್ರವಾದ ಕೋತಿ (ಹನುಮಂತ) ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಅದರ ಇರುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸು ಎಂದು ದಾಸರು ರಾವಣನನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಚರಣ 1 (ಹನುಮಂತನ ಲೀಲೆ):
ಗಿಡದಿಂದ ಗಿಡಕೆ ಹಾರತದ ಕೋತಿ | ಬಲು ಗಡಿಬಿಡಿ ಮಾಡತದ |

ಅರ್ಥ: ಆ ಕೋತಿಯು ಒಂದು ಗಿಡದಿಂದ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಗಿಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾರುತ್ತಾ ವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರಿ ಗಡಿಬಿಡಿ (ಗದ್ದಲ) ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಹೋದರೆ "ತಡಿ ತಡಿ" (ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವುದು ಸುಲಭವಲ್ಲ) ಎಂದು ಸವಾಲು ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕ್ಷಣವೂ ಬಿಡದೆ 'ರಾಮ ನಾಮ'ವನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ತಾನು ಆ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನ ದೂತನೆಂದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಚರಣ 2 (ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನ ಆಗಮನದ ವಾರ್ತೆ):

ಅರ್ಥ: ಈ ಕೋತಿಯು ಕೇವಲ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಯಲ್ಲ, ಇದು ಮನುಷ್ಯರಂತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯಲು ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನು ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇತುವೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಬರಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂಬ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ತಂದಿದೆ. ದಶರಥ ಪುತ್ರನಾದ ರಘುಪತಿ ರಾಮನು ಲಂಕೆಗೆ ದಾಳಿ ಇಡಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ವಾಯುಪುತ್ರನಾದ ಹನುಮಂತನು ಸಾರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
ಚರಣ 3 (ರಾವಣನಿಗೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ):

ಅರ್ಥ: ರಾವಣನೇ, ಹಟ ಹಿಡಿದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹಾಳಾಗಬೇಡ, ನಮ್ಮ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಸೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಗೌರವದಿಂದ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡು ಎಂದು ಹನುಮಂತನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಬಿಡದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಾವಿನ ಕಾಲ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದರ್ಥ. ಇದು ಹರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮರ ಆಣೆಯಾಗಿಯೂ ಸತ್ಯ. ಈಗಲಾದರೂ ಅಹಂಕಾರ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಆ 'ಆದಿಕೇಶವನ' (ಪರಮಾತ್ಮನ) ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ನಂಬಿ ಶರಣಾಗು ಎಂದು ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
