Pronunciation Guide for Recitation
The Rhythmic "Kiṃsan/Bhaṃsan": These are rhythmic beats. Pronounce the 'n' clearly at the end (rhymes with "sun").
Retroflex 'ḷ' and 'ḍ': In koḍaliya and Rāvaṇanaḷidage, curl your tongue back to the roof of your mouth for a resonant 'D' and 'L'.
The Nasal 'n': In purandara and anantana, ensure the 'n' flows smoothly into the next syllable.
Soft Dental 't': In satyadi and battale, keep the 't' soft, with your tongue against the back of your teeth.
Vowel Extension: Stretch the 'ā' in allallā at the end of the lines to maintain the musical flow.

ಸಾರಾಂಶ (Summary)
ಈ ಹಾಡಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಸಾರಾಂಶ 'ದಶಾವತಾರ ಸ್ತುತಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಮ ಸಂಕೀರ್ತನೆ'. ದಾಸರು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಷ್ಣುವಿನ ಹತ್ತು ಅವತಾರಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನೆಯುತ್ತಾ, "ನಾವು ಅರಿಯದೆ ಈ ಸಂಸಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಕಷ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಹರಿಸು" ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅರ್ಥ (Meaning Verse-wise)
ಪಲ್ಲವಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅನುಪಲ್ಲವಿ:
ಓ ಪರಮಾತ್ಮನೇ, ನಾವು ಅರಿಯದೆ ಈ ಜನ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸಾರದ ಬಂಧನಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ಪರಿಹರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಹರಿ ಹರಿಯೆಂದು ನಾನಾ ವಿಧವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರೆ, ನಮಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪಾಪದ ಅಥವಾ ದುರಿತದ (ಕಷ್ಟದ) ಭಯವಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
ಚರಣ 1 (ಮತ್ಸ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕೂರ್ಮ ಅವತಾರ):
ವೇದಗಳನ್ನು ತರಲು ಮತ್ಸ್ಯ ರೂಪ ತಾಳಿದವನಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಂದರ ಪರ್ವತವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ಕೂರ್ಮ ರೂಪ ತಾಳಿದವನಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರಗಳು. ಆ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛವಾದ, ಅನಂತನಾದ ಹರಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರೆ ನಮಗೆ ಮೋಕ್ಷ ಸಿಗುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಶಯವಿಲ್ಲ.
ಚರಣ 2 (ವರಾಹ ಮತ್ತು ನರಸಿಂಹ ಅವತಾರ):
ಹಿರಣ್ಯಾಕ್ಷನನ್ನು (ಕನಕಾಕ್ಷ) ಕೊಂದ ವರಾಹನಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭಕ್ತ ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದನಿಗೆ ಒಲಿದು ಬಂದ ನರಸಿಂಹನಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರಗಳು. ಓ ನಾರಾಯಣನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ನೆನೆದರೆ ನಮಗೆ ನರಕದ ಭಯವೇ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
ಚರಣ 3 (ವಾಮನ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಶುರಾಮ ಅವತಾರ):
ಮೂರು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧರೆಯನ್ನು ಅಳೆದ ವಾಮನನಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ದುಷ್ಟ ಕ್ಷತ್ರಿಯರನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಲು ಕೊಡಲಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದ ಪರಶುರಾಮನಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರಗಳು. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸದಾ ಸ್ಮರಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟಗಳ ಭಯವಿಲ್ಲ.
ಚರಣ 4 (ರಾಮ ಮತ್ತು ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಅವತಾರ):
ರಾವಣನನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗೋವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವ ಕೃಷ್ಣನಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರಗಳು. ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರೌಪದಿಯ ಮಾನವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿದ ಆ ಮಹಾನುಭಾವನೇ ನಮಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಕ.
ಚರಣ 5 (ಬುದ್ಧ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲ್ಕಿ ಅವತಾರ):
ಬತ್ತಲೆ ನಿಂತ (ಬುದ್ಧ/ದಿಗಂಬರ ರೂಪ) ಅವತಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕುದುರೆಯನ್ನೇರಿ ಬರುವ ಕಲ್ಕಿ ಅವತಾರಕ್ಕೆ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರಗಳು. ಸತ್ಯವಾದ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಪುರಂದರ ವಿಠಲನನ್ನು ನೆನೆದರೆ, ನಮಗೆ ಸತ್ಯಲೋಕವೇ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

Verse-wise Meaning
Refrain (Pallavi & Anupallavi):
We have come into this life unknowingly (Ariyade); O Lord, please resolve our troubles (Pariharisayya). If we chant "Hari Hari" in various ways, there is no fear of sin or suffering at all.
Verse 1 (Matsya & Kurma):
Salutations to the Matsya (Fish) avatar and the Kurma (Tortoise) avatar. If we meditate on the pure and infinite Lord, why wouldn't we attain the state of liberation (Moksha)?
Verse 2 (Varaha & Narasimha):
Salutations to the one who slew the golden-eyed demon Hiranyaksha (Varaha) and the one who showed grace to the boy Prahlada (Narasimha). O Narayana, if we remember Your name, there is no fear of hell whatsoever.
Verse 3 (Vamana & Parashurama):
Salutations to the one who measured the earth in three steps (Vamana) and the one who wielded the axe (Parashurama). By chanting "Hari Hari" repeatedly, the fear of misfortune disappears.
Verse 4 (Rama & Krishna):
Salutations to the one who destroyed Ravana (Rama) and the cowherd Krishna. He is the same Lord who protected the dignity of Draupadi in the assembly when no one else could.
Verse 5 (Buddha & Kalki):
Salutations to the one who stood in the form of a monk (Buddha/Digambara) and the one who will mount the great horse (Kalki). If we truthfully remember Purandara Vithala, we shall surely reach the highest spiritual realm (Satyaloka).
