ಮಾಣಿಕ ಮುತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರೆಂದ ಕ್ವಾಣವ ಧರ್ಮಗೆ ತರಲಿಲ್ಲಂದ ।।೨।।
ಕೃಷ್ಣರಾಯ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ಎಷ್ಟು ಜಂಬ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ತಂದ
ಪಟ್ಟಾವಳಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಿರೆಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟು ಭೀಮಗೆ ತರಲಿಲ್ಲೆಂದ ।।೩।।
ನಳಿನಾಕ್ಷಸಭೆಯೊಳು ಬಂದ ಹೊಳೆವೊ ಎಷ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ತಂದ
ಝಳಿಸೋ ವಸ್ತ್ರಕೊಳ್ಳಿರೆಂದ ಬಳೆ ಪಾರ್ಥಗೆ ತರಲಿಲ್ಲೆಂದ ।।೪।।
ರಾಜ್ಯ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನಿಗಿಲ್ಲೆಂದ ಮಾಜುದಾ ಕುಲ ಧರ್ಮ ಕುಂದ
ತೇಜ ಮುಂದೆ ಓಡಿದ್ದು ಚೆಂದ ಸೋಜಿಗವಲ್ಲ ನಕುಲನೆಂದ ।।೫।।
ಸುಮನಸರು ನಗುವೊರೆಂದ ಭ್ರಮೆಯ ಕಳೆದ್ಯೋ ಸಹದೇವ ಎಂದ

ಪ್ರತಿ ಚರಣದ ಅರ್ಥ (Meaning Parawise)
ಪಲ್ಲವಿ:
ರಂಗ ನಮ್ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ಮತ್ತೇನು ತಂದ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: ಶ್ರೀರಂಗನು (ಕೃಷ್ಣ) ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವನು ಬರುವಾಗ ನಮಗಾಗಿ ಏನನ್ನು ತಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ? (ಇದು ಕುತೂಹಲದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ).
ಚರಣ ೧: ಧರ್ಮರಾಯನ ಕುರಿತು
ಜಗದೋದ್ಧಾರನ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ನಗುವ ಪರಿಯ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ತಂದ... ಪಗಡಿ ಧರ್ಮಗೆ ತರಲಿಲ್ಲೆಂದ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: ಜಗದೋದ್ಧಾರಕನಾದ ಕೃಷ್ಣನು ಧರ್ಮರಾಯನ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ನಗುತ್ತಾ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ, "ಬಗೆ ಬಗೆಯ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳಿ" ಎಂದು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಯಂತೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಆದರೆ, ಧರ್ಮರಾಯನಿಗೆ ರಾಜಗೌರವದ ಸಂಕೇತವಾದ 'ಪಗಡಿ'ಯನ್ನು (ಶಿರಸ್ತ್ರಾಣ) ಮಾತ್ರ ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ (ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ) ತರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ತಮಾಷೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
ಚರಣ ೨: ಭೀಮಸೇನನ ಕುರಿತು (ಮಾಣಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ವಾಣ)
ವಾಣಿ ಮಾವ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ಜಾಣತನವ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ತಂದ... ಕ್ವಾಣವ ಧರ್ಮಗೆ ತರಲಿಲ್ಲಂದ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: ಕೃಷ್ಣನು ಭೀಮನ ಬಳಿ ಬಂದು, ಅವನ ಬಲ ಮತ್ತು ಜಾಣತನವನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳುತ್ತಾ "ಮಾಣಿಕ ಮುತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳಿ" ಎಂದನು. ಆದರೆ 'ಕ್ವಾಣ'ವನ್ನು (ಕೋಣ ಅಥವಾ ಎಮ್ಮೆ) ಮಾತ್ರ ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲಾರೆ ಎಂದನು. ಇದು ಭೀಮನ ಅತಿ ಬಲ ಮತ್ತು ಹಸಿವನ್ನು ಪರೋಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಲೇವಡಿ ಮಾಡುವಂತಿದೆ.
ಚರಣ ೩: ಭೀಮನ ಅಜ್ಞಾತವಾಸದ ನೆನಪು
ಕೃಷ್ಣರಾಯ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ಎಷ್ಟು ಜಂಬ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ತಂದ... ಹುಟ್ಟು ಭೀಮಗೆ ತರಲಿಲ್ಲೆಂದ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: ಭೀಮನ ಬಳಿ ಬಂದು "ಪಟ್ಟಾವಳಿ (ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ವಸ್ತ್ರ) ಕೊಳ್ಳಿ" ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಭೀಮನು ಅಜ್ಞಾತವಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡುಗೆಯವನಾಗಿದ್ದ (ಬಲ್ಲವ) ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲೋ ಅಥವಾ ಅವನ ವೇಷಕ್ಕೋ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ 'ಹುಟ್ಟು'ವನ್ನು (ಅಡುಗೆಗೆ ಬಳಸುವ ಸೌಟು ಅಥವಾ ಬಟ್ಟೆ) ತರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.
ಚರಣ ೪: ಅರ್ಜುನನ ಕುರಿತು (ಬೃಹನ್ನಳೆ ವೇಷ)
ನಳಿನಾಕ್ಷ ಸಭೆಯೊಳು ಬಂದ ಹೊಳೆವೊ ಎಷ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ತಂದ... ಬಳೆ ಪಾರ್ಥಗೆ ತರಲಿಲ್ಲೆಂದ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: ಅರ್ಜುನನ (ಪಾರ್ಥ) ಬಳಿ ಬಂದು "ಝಳಪಿಸುವ ಸುಂದರ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳಿ" ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಅಜ್ಞಾತವಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೃಹನ್ನಳೆಯಾಗಿ ನೃತ್ಯ ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸುವಂತೆ, "ನಿನಗೆ ಹಾಕಲು ಬಳೆಗಳನ್ನು ತರಲಿಲ್ಲ" ಎಂದು ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
ಚರಣ ೫: ನಕುಲನ ಕುರಿತು
ರಾಜ್ಯ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣನಿಗಿಲ್ಲೆಂದ ಮಾಜುದಾ ಕುಲ ಧರ್ಮ ಕುಂದ... ಸೋಜಿಗವಲ್ಲ ನಕುಲನೆಂದ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: ನಕುಲನ ಕುರಿತು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ, ಅಶ್ವಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಕುಲನಿಗಿದ್ದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಓಡುವುದು ಚೆಂದ ಎಂದು ನಕುಲನ ಕುರಿತು ಸೋಜಿಗದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
ಚರಣ ೬: ಸಹದೇವನ ಕುರಿತು
ಸುಮನಸರು ನಗುವೊರೆಂದ ಭ್ರಮೆಯ ಕಳೆದ್ಯೋ ಸಹದೇವ ಎಂದ... ರಮಿಯರಸು ನಗುವನೆಂದ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: ತ್ರಿಕಾಲಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಸಹದೇವನ ಬಳಿ ಬಂದು, ಲೋಕದ ಭ್ರಮೆಯನ್ನು ಕಳೆಯುವವನು ನೀನು ಎಂದು ಹೊಗಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಧನವನ್ನು (ದನಗಳನ್ನು ಅಥವಾ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು) ಕಾಯುವುದು ಬಹಳ ಚಂದ ಎಂದು ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
ಚರಣ ೭: ಬಲರಾಮ ಮತ್ತು ಇಂದಿರೇಶ
ಅಂದ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಬಲರಾಮ ಹೀಗೆಂದ ಚಂದವಾಯಿತು ಕುಶಲವೆಂದ... ಇಂದಿರೇಶಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿರೆಂದ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಚಮತ್ಕಾರದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಬಲರಾಮನು "ಬಹಳ ಚಂದವಾಯಿತು, ನಿನ್ನ ಕುಶಲತೆ ಅದ್ಭುತ" ಎಂದು ನಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. "ನೀನು ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ನಿಂದಿಸಬೇಡ, ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಇಂದಿರೇಶನಿಗೆ (ಪರಮಾತ್ಮನಿಗೆ) ಅರ್ಪಿಸು" ಎಂದು ಈ ಲೀಲೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

Brief Summary
In this song, Lord Krishna enters the assembly of the Pandavas. He assumes the role of a traveler or merchant bringing gifts, but his real "commodity" is his wit. He offers various items to the brothers but playfully refuses to give them what they actually need or mocks their past disguises (like Bhima as a cook or Arjuna as a dance teacher). It reflects the deep, friendly bond between the Pandavas and Krishna, where the Almighty becomes a "teaser" of his own devotees.
Stanza-wise Meaning
Refrain (Pallavi):

Meaning: "Ranga (Krishna) has come to our house! I wonder, what has he brought with him this time?" (An expression of curious joy).
Stanza 1: Teasing Yudhishthira (Dharmaraya)
Krishna enters the assembly of the world's savior. He tells a joke that makes everyone laugh and asks Yudhishthira to buy various types of fine clothing. However, he mischievously says, "I didn't bring the Pagadi (royal turban) to give to Dharma for free!" (A play on Yudhishthira's loss of his kingdom and crown in the game of dice).
Stanza 2: Teasing Bhima (The Mighty)
Krishna approaches Bhima, praising his wisdom and strength. He offers him precious rubies and pearls to buy. But then he jokes, "I didn't bring a Kwana (a male buffalo) to give you for free!" (A humorous jab at Bhima's massive appetite and strength, comparing it to a buffalo).
Stanza 3: Bhima’s Secret Identity
Krishna continues to poke fun at Bhima's pride. He offers him Pattavali (rich silk garments). However, he adds, "I didn't bring a Huttu (a large stirring ladle used in cooking) for Bhima!" (This refers to Bhima's disguise as 'Ballava', the palace cook, during their year of hiding).
Stanza 4: Teasing Arjuna (The Archer)
The Lord enters the court and offers shimmering, glittering clothes. To Arjuna (Partha), he says, "I brought everything, but I didn't bring any bangles for you!" (A witty reference to Arjuna's disguise as 'Brihannala', the eunuch dance teacher, who wore bangles and feminine attire during exile).
Stanza 5: Teasing Nakula
Krishna remarks that Lakshmana (the kingdom's wealth/glory) isn't with Nakula right now. He talks about how beautiful it is to see the horses galloping and wonders at Nakula's expertise in taming them, playfully highlighting his role as a stable keeper during the exile.
Stanza 6: Teasing Sahadeva
Addressing the youngest Pandava, who is a master of all knowledge (Trikalagnani), Krishna tells him to shed his illusions. He jokingly comments on how Sahadeva is so good at "protecting vast wealth" (referring to his role as a cowherd and cattle-tender during their time in hiding).
Stanza 7: Balarama’s Reaction & Conclusion
Hearing these clever and funny remarks, Krishna's brother Balarama laughs and says, "This is wonderful, you are so skillful in your speech!" He advises the devotees not to find fault in others but to offer all their words and deeds to Indiresha (the Supreme Lord).
