Pronunciation Guide

ಅರ್ಥ: ಹೇ ಮಧ್ವಮುನಿಗಳೆಂಬ ರತ್ನವೇ, ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸುಂದರನಾದ ಶ್ರೀಹರಿಯ ಪಾದಪದ್ಮಗಳ ಸೇವಕನೇ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದ ಮನ್ನಿಸಿ (ಹರಸಿ) ರಕ್ಷಿಸು.

ಅರ್ಥ: ಅಂಜನಾದೇವಿಯ ಗರ್ಭಕ್ಕೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಚಂದ್ರನಂತಿರುವವನೇ, ಸೂರ್ಯನ (ಕಂಜ ಪ್ರಿಯನ) ಮಗನಾದ ಸುಗ್ರೀವನಿಗೆ ಕಲ್ಪವೃಕ್ಷದಂತೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದವನೇ, ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಚಂದ್ರನ ಪರಮ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿ ಶೋಭಿಸುವವನೇ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಜೀವಿನಿ ಪರ್ವತವನ್ನು ತಂದು ಪ್ರಾಣ ಉಳಿಸಿದ ಮಹಾತ್ಮನೇ (ಹನುಮಂತನೇ), ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮನ್ನಿಸು.

ಅರ್ಥ: ದ್ವಾಪರಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಂಡವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಜುನನಿಗೆ ಹಿರಿಯಣ್ಣನಾಗಿ (ಭೀಮಸೇನನಾಗಿ) ಮೆರೆದು, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಹೆಡೆಮುರಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿ, ಆರು ಮಂದಿ ಮಹಾರಥಿಗಳ ಗರ್ವವನ್ನು ಮುರಿದವನೇ. ಮೂರು ಲೋಕಗಳು ಮೆಚ್ಚುವಂತೆ ಜರಾಸಂಧನನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿ ವಧಿಸಿದ, ಸಜ್ಜನರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಿಯನಾದ ಉದಾರಿಯಾದ ಭೀಮಸೇನನೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮನ್ನಿಸು.

ಅರ್ಥ: ಮೂರು, ಆರು, ಎರಡು ಮತ್ತು ಒಂದು (ಹೀಗೆ ವಿವಿಧ ತಪ್ಪು) ಮೂಢ ಮತಗಳನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಿ, ಸತ್ತ್ವಯುತವಾದ ತತ್ವಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಸಾರವನ್ನು ಸಜ್ಜನರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದವನೇ. ಧೀರನಾದ, ಶ್ರೀ ಹಯವದನನ ಅಂತರಂಗ ಸೇವಕನಾದ, ಧೀರ ಮಧ್ವಾಚಾರ್ಯರೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಈ ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆರೆದವನೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮನ್ನಿಸು.

Summary (English)
In this devotional composition, Sri Vadirajaru praises Vayudeva, who incarnated in three forms: Hanuman in Treta Yuga, Bheemasena in Dvapara Yuga, and Madhvacharya in Kali Yuga. The poet addresses the supreme saint-philosopher Madhvacharya (who is identical to Mukhya Prana) and pleads for grace and protection, recalling his glorious acts of devotion to Sri Rama, the vanquishing of foes as Bheemasena, and the establishment of Tattvavada by refuting false doctrines.
