ಅರ್ಥ: ಭಕ್ತರ ಅಂತರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಜವಾದ ಮುಕ್ತಿಯ ಆನಂದವನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಸೆಲೆಯಾದ 'ಆನಂದತೀರ್ಥ' ಎಂಬ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾದ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಜಗದ್ಗುರು ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವಮುನಿರಾಯರೇ! ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಪಾರವಾದ ದಿವ್ಯ ಗುಣಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅದ್ಭುತವಾದ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡಲು ಯಾರಿಂದ ತಾನೇ ಸಾಧ್ಯ? ಅದನ್ನು ವರ್ಣಿಸಲು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಸಾಲದಾಗಿವೆ.
೧. ಒಂದನೇ ನುಡಿ
ಮುಖ್ಯಪ್ರಾಣ ರೂಪನಾಗಿ ಮುನಿಯ ಚಾರಿತ್ರ್ಯ ತಾಳಿದಿಗುರುಮಧ್ವಮುನಿರಾಯ
ಸೊಕ್ಕಿದ ದೈತ್ಯರ ಸೊಕ್ಕುಮುರಿದು ಶೋಭಿಸಿದಿಗುರುಮಧ್ವಮುನಿರಾಯ || ೧ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜೀವರಾಶಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರಾದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ 'ಮುಖ್ಯಪ್ರಾಣ' (ವಾಯುದೇವರ) ಸ್ವರೂಪರಾದ ನೀವು, ಈ ಕಲಿಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಜ್ಜನರ ಉದ್ಧಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಯತಿಗಳ (ಮುನಿಯ) ಪರಮ ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ವೇಷ ಹಾಗೂ ಚಾರಿತ್ರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿರಿ. ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಹಾದಿಯನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ, ಅಹಂಕಾರದಿಂದ ಸೊಕ್ಕಿದ್ದ ತಾಮಸ ದೈತ್ಯರ ಗರ್ವವನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ತತ್ತ್ವಜ್ಞಾನದ ಬಲದಿಂದ ಮುರಿದು, ಸನಾತನ ಧರ್ಮದ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಸಾರಿ ಶೋಭಿಸಿದಿರಿ.
೨. ಎರಡನೇ ನುಡಿ
ವಾನರೇಂದ್ರ ರೂಪನಾಗಿ ವಾರಿಧಿಯ ದಾಟಿದಿಗುರುಮಧ್ವಮುನಿರಾಯ
ಜಾನಕಿಗುಂಗುರಕೊಟ್ಟು ಜಗಜಟ್ಟಿಗಳ ಕುಟ್ಟಿದಿಗುರುಮಧ್ವಮುನಿರಾಯ || ೨ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೊದಲನೇ ಅವತಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾನರ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನಾದ ಹನುಮಂತನ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ತಾಳಿ, ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೂರು ಯೋಜನ ವಿಸ್ತಾರದ ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು (ವಾರಿಧಿಯನ್ನು) ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಲೀಲಾಜಾಲವಾಗಿ ಹಾರಿ ದಾಟಿದಿರಿ. ಲಂಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸೀತಾದೇವಿಗೆ (ಜಾನಕಿಗೆ) ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನ ದಿವ್ಯ ಮುದ್ರೆ ಉಂಗುರವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಆಕೆಗೆ ಧೈರ್ಯ ತುಂಬಿದಿರಿ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಲಂಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಮಹಾ ಮಹಾ ರಾಕ್ಷಸ ಯೋಧರನ್ನು (ಜಗಜಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನು) ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಷ್ಟಿಘಾತದಿಂದ ಜಜ್ಜಿ ಧೂಳಿಪಟ ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ.
೩. ಮೂರನೇ ನುಡಿ
ಕ್ಷಿತಿಯೊಳು ಕುಂತೀಸುತ ಭೀಮನೆಂದೆನಿಸಿದಿಗುರುಮಧ್ವಮುನಿರಾಯ
ಅತಿಹಿತದಿಂದ ಯದುಪತಿಯ ಭಜಿಸಿದಿಗುರುಮಧ್ವಮುನಿರಾಯ || ೩ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎರಡನೇ ಅವತಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ (ಕ್ಷಿತಿಯೊಳು) ದ್ವಾಪರಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಂತೀದೇವಿಯ ಪುತ್ರನಾದ ಮಹಾಬಲಶಾಲಿ 'ಭೀಮಸೇನ' ನೆಂದು ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತರಾದಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಂತರಂಗದ ಪರಮ ಹಿತದಿಂದ, ಯದುವಂಶದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ದೊರೆಯಾದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ ಜಗದೊಡೆಯ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನನ್ನು (ಯದುಪತಿಯ) ಅನನ್ಯ ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಭಜಿಸಿ, ಕೌರವರ ಸಕಲ ದುಷ್ಟ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಗದೆಯಿಂದ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದಿರಿ.
೪. ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ನುಡಿ
ಚಿಕ್ಕತನದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಪೂಜಿಸಿದಿಗುರುಮಧ್ವಮುನಿರಾಯ
ಏಕವಿಂಶತಿ ಕುಭಾಷ್ಯವ ಜರಿದೆಯೊಗುರುಮಧ್ವಮುನಿರಾಯ || ೪ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: ಇನ್ನು ಮೂರನೇ ಅವತಾರವಾದ ಮಧ್ವಾವತಾರದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕೇವಲ ಬಾಲಕನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಸನ್ಯಾಸ ದೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ, ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಸಮುದ್ರ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕ ಆ ಸುಂದರ ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಡುಪಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಿ ಪೂಜಿಸಿದಿರಿ. ವೇದಗಳ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಅಪಭ್ರಂಶ ಮಾಡಿ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ದಾರಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೊಂದು ತಪ್ಪು ಭಾಷ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು (ಏಕವಿಂಶತಿ ಕುಭಾಷ್ಯವ) ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಜ್ರದಂತಹ ತರ್ಕ ಮತ್ತು ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಖಂಡಿಸಿ (ಜರಿದೆಯೊ) ಸತ್ಯವಾದ ದ್ವೈತ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತವನ್ನು ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದಿರಿ.
೫. ಐದನೇ ನುಡಿ (ಮುಕ್ತಾಯ)

ಅರ್ಥ: ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಶಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಬಲಶಾಲಿಯಾದ, ಕುದುರೆಯ ಮುಖವುಳ್ಳ ಜ್ಞಾನದೇವನಾದ ಆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ ಶ್ರೀಹಯವದನ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಭಜಿಸಿದ ಸದ್ಗುರು ಮಧ್ವಮುನಿರಾಯರೇ! ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಂಬಿ ಶರಣು ಬಂದ ಸಜ್ಜನ ಭಕ್ತರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸದಾ ಕಾಲವೂ ಕರುಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮುಕ್ತಿಯೆಂಬ ಅಮೃತದ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ಕರೆದು (ಕರುಣಾಮೃತ ಕರೆದೆ) ಕಾಯುವ ಜಗದೊಡೆಯರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಚರಣಗಳಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರಗಳು.

In this composition, Sri Vadiraja Raja beautifully praises Śrī Madhvāchāryaru (historically named Sri Ananda Tirtha) by tracing his three cosmic incarnations as ordained in the Balitha Sukta of the Vedas: first as Hanuman, second as Bhimasena, and third as Madhvacharya, highlighting how he protected the righteous and established the true path of Vedic knowledge.
Summary
Pallavi: The poet bows to Guru Madhvacharya, who holds the deeply meaningful name "Ananda Tirtha" (he whose sacred knowledge bestows spiritual bliss). The poet states that the extraordinary divine virtues and spiritual majesty of the Guru are completely beyond human description.
Charana 1, 2 & 3: Dasa recalls that the Guru is none other than Mukhya Prana (the primary life-force deity) who took the form of an ascetic to shatter the bloated pride of demonic forces. In his first incarnation as Hanuman, he crossed the vast ocean, handed the signet ring to Janaki (Sita), and crushed the massive warriors of Lanka. Sri Vadiraja concludes by praising the Guru who meditated upon the immensely powerful Lord Hayavadana, continuously showering the nectar of mercy and wisdom (Karuṇāmṛta) upon his dedicated devotees.

Sokkida daityara sokkumuridu śōbhisidi guru madhvamunirāya || 1 ||
Meaning: Originally existing as the great Lord Mukhya Prana (the supreme deity of life-force), You chose to descend to earth in this Kaliyuga wearing the simple robes and impeccable character of an ascetic monk (Muni). With the absolute authority of Your Vedic philosophy, You thoroughly shattered the bloated pride of arrogant, demonic thinkers (Daityas) who were misleading society, and You shone resplendently as the protector of truth.
Charana 2
Vānarēndra rūpanāgi vāridhiya dāṭidi guru madhvamunirāya
Jānakiguṃgurakoṭṭu jagajattigaḷa kuṭṭidi guru madhvamunirāya || 2 ||
Meaning: In Your first glorious incarnation, You took the form of Hanuman, the king of monkeys (Vānarēndra), and effortlessly leaped across the vast, roaring ocean (Vāridhi) for Lord Rama's mission. You reached Lanka, comforted Janaki (Goddess Sita) by handing her Rama's royal signet ring, and single-handedly pounded and crushed the pride of Lanka's elite, massive demon warriors (Jagajattigaḷa).
Charana 3
Kṣitiyoḷu kuṃtīsuta bhīmaneṃdanisidi guru madhvamunirāya
Atihitadaṃda yadupatiya bhajisidi guru madhvamunirāya || 3 ||
Meaning: On this earth (Kṣitiyoḷu) during the Dvapara era, You incarnated as the famously powerful Bhimasena, the illustrious son of Queen Kunti. With the deepest, most confidential love and joy (Atihitadaṃda), You constantly worshipped and served Lord Krishna, the Lord of the Yadu clan (Yadupati), executing His cosmic will by cleansing the earth of tyrannical forces.
Charana 4
Chikkatana dalli śrīkṛṣṇana pūjisidi guru madhvamunirāya
Ēkaviṃśati kubhāṣyava jarideyō guru madhvamunirāya || 4 ||
Meaning: In Your third incarnation as Madhva, even during Your tender childhood, You accepted holy sannyasa, brought the beautiful idol of Lord Krishna from the western ocean, and ceremoniously installed and worshipped Him at Udupi. With Your unyielding logic and textual proof, You completely refuted and threw out twenty-one flawed, distorted commentaries (Ēkaviṃśati Kubhāṣya) that had corrupted the true meaning of the Vedas, reviving the pure path of devotion.
Charana 5
Ati balavaṃta śrī hayavadananna bhajisidyo guru madhvamunirāya
Satata bhaktarige karuṇāmṛta karede guru madhvamunirāya || 5 ||
Meaning: O Master Madhva Muniraya, You who continuously meditated upon and worshipped the infinitely powerful, horse-faced Lord of Supreme Wisdom, Śrī Hayavadana! For the righteous seekers who permanently anchor themselves at Your feet, You act as a divine cloud, continuously pouring down (Karede) the sweet, life-giving nectar of grace, knowledge, and final liberation (Karuṇāmṛta). I bow to You.
