ತಕ್ಕಥೈ ಎಂದೀಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗೆ ||ಪ||
ಕುರುಳು ಕುಂತಳದಿಂದ ಕಸ್ತುರಿ ತಿಲಕ ಚಂದ
ಪರಮ ಪುರುಷ ಬಂದ ನೀಲ ವರ್ಣ ನಂದ ||೧||
ಮುಗುಳು ನಗೆಯ ಕಾಂತಿ ಚಂದ್ರನುದಯ ಭ್ರಾಂತಿ
ಸೊಗಸು ನೋಡಲೆ ಕಾಂತೆ ಸೆಳೆವ ಮನವ ಶಾಂತೆ ||೨||

Akkō / Ikkō: "Look there" / "Look here" (Deictic expressions common in folk-style Haridasa padas).
Takka-thai: Onomatopoeic syllables representing the rhythmic footsteps of Krishna's dance.
Kuruḷu Kuntaḷa: Refers specifically to the "curly locks" of hair, a classic attribute of Bala Krishna.
Bhrānti: Illusion or confusion. Here, it means his smile is so bright it is mistaken for the rising moon.
Jāla: Divine play, magic, or "net" of enchantment.
Gōpālakṛṣṇaviṭhala: This is the specific Ankita (signature) of her Guru, Tandemuddumohana Dasa, which she has adopted in her songs.

ಇದು ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗದ ಅಂಬಾಬಾಯಿ (೧೯೦೨-೧೯೪೩) ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ತಂದೆಮುದ್ದುಮೋಹನ ದಾಸರ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಿಂದ ರಚಿಸಿದ ಅತೀ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಕೃತಿ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಗೋಪಿಕೆಯರ ಸಡಗರವನ್ನು ಬಹಳ ಸೊಗಸಾಗಿ ವರ್ಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸಾರಾಂಶ (Summary)

ಅರ್ಥ (Paragraph-wise Meaning)
ಪಲ್ಲವಿ:
ಅಕ್ಕೋ ರಂಗ ನೋಡೆ ಇಕ್ಕೋ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ನೋಡೆ
ತಕ್ಕಥೈ ಎಂದೀಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗೆ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: "ಅಕ್ಕಾ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡು ರಂಗನನ್ನು, ಇಕೋ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡು ಕೃಷ್ಣನನ್ನು! ಇಷ್ಟು ದಿನ ಓಡಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದವನು ಇಂದು 'ತಕ್ಕಥೈ' ಎಂದು ಕುಣಿಯುತ್ತಾ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಬನ್ನಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ."
ಚರಣ 1:
ಕುರುಳು ಕುಂತಳದಿಂದ ಕಸ್ತುರಿ ತಿಲಕ ಚಂದ
ಪರಮ ಪುರುಷ ಬಂದ ನೀಲ ವರ್ಣ ನಂದ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: "ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಹಣೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಡಿರುವ ಮುಂಗುರುಳುಗಳು (ಕುರುಳು ಕುಂತಳ) ಎಷ್ಟು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿವೆ! ಆ ಹಣೆಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಕಸ್ತೂರಿ ತಿಲಕವು ಎತ್ತಿ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದೆ. ನೀಲ ಮೇಘ ಶ್ಯಾಮನಾದ ಆ ಪರಮಪುರುಷನು, ನಂದಗೋಪನ ಕಂದನು ಇಕೋ ನಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ."
ಚರಣ 2:
ಮುಗುಳು ನಗೆಯ ಕಾಂತಿ ಚಂದ್ರನುದಯ ಭ್ರಾಂತಿ
ಸೊಗಸು ನೋಡಲೆ ಕಾಂತೆ ಸೆಳೆವ ಮನವ ಶಾಂತೆ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: "ಅವನ ಮುಖದ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಮುಗುಳುನಗೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾಶವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರೆ, ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಂದ್ರನು ಉದಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೋ ಎಂಬ ಭ್ರಮೆಯುಂಟಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಎಲೈ ಗೆಳತಿಯೇ, ಶಾಂತ ಸ್ವಭಾವದವರ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಸೆಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅವನ ಈ ಅಪ್ರತಿಮ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಒಮ್ಮೆ ನೋಡು."
ಚರಣ 3:
ಬಾರೋ ಬಾ ಗೋಪಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣವಿಠಲ ಜಾಲ
ತೋರುವ ನೋಡೆ ಸೇರೋಣ ಬಾ ಸುಶೀಲೆ ||
ಅರ್ಥ: "ಗೋಪಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣವಿಠಲನೇ (ದಾಸರ ಅಂಕಿತ), ನೀನು ಬಾರೋ. ನಿನ್ನ ಲೀಲೆಗಳನ್ನು (ಜಾಲ) ನಮಗೆ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲವೇ? ಸುಶೀಲಳಾದ ಗೆಳತಿಯೇ, ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ಪರಮಾತ್ಮನನ್ನು ಸೇರೋಣ ಬಾರೆ."

Parama puruṣa banda nīla varṇa nanda ||
Meaning: "How beautiful are his curly locks of hair falling over his face! The musk (Kasturi) Tilak on his forehead is so charming. The Supreme Being (Parama Purusha), the dark-hued son of Nanda, has arrived before us."
Stanza 2:
Muguḷu nageya kānti candranudaya bhrānti |
Sogasu nōḍale kānte seḷeva manava śānte ||
Meaning: "The radiance of his gentle smile is so bright that it creates the illusion (Bhranti) of the moon rising. Look at this beauty, O friend; he effortlessly pulls and captivates even the calmest and most composed minds."
Stanza 3:
Bārō bā gōpālakṛṣṇaviṭhala jāla |
Tōruva nōḍe sērōṇa bā suśīlē ||
Meaning: "Come, O Gopalakrishna Vittala (the composer’s signature/Ankita)! Look how he displays his divine play (Jaala). O virtuous woman (Susheele), come, let us go and join Him."
