Summary
In this kirtana, Sripadarajaru calls out to the child Krishna with immense love, celebrating his divine plays (leelas), supreme valor, and affection. Recalling the Lord’s ten incarnations, the poet describes Krishna’s childhood feat of slaying the demon Shakatasura, his playful cleverness in stealing butter, his cosmic form as Trivikrama who measured the universe, and his grace in supporting the mountain during the churning of the ocean. In the final verses, he prays to Lord Sri Hayavadana, the consort of Goddess Lakshmi and the embodiment of eternal bliss, to come and stand before him to destroy all hardships.

Why did you steal and eat butter from others' houses—did you lack wealth? Come, my darling child. Come, O mischievous one who used to playfully punch and push away the other children while playing.

Meaning: When I say "come behind," you playfully rush forward; come, O Govinda! When I say "come, my child," you instantly stand before my eyes; come, O Mukunda! Come and stand before me forever, O embodiment of eternal bliss (Nithyananda)! Come, O Ocean of Compassion (Karunyasindhu), who protects and sustains your devotees at all times.

Meaning: During the churning of the ocean, you stood as a tortoise supporting the mountain, holding the churning rod and the rope (the serpent Vasuki); come, O Lord! Come, O carefree One (Nishchinta) who bestows joy upon saintly people day after day. O warrior who destroyed endless enemies like Yamaraj (Krithanta) himself, come! O infinite Lord, Consort of Lakshmi (Makanta), who cannot be described as merely this or that, O Sri Hayavadana, come to me!
