Pronunciation Guide
Pronounce "ś" or "sh" with a soft palatal sibilant sound (like "sh" in shoe).
Keep retroflex consonants like ṭ, ḍ, ṇ, and ḷ with a slight curl of the tongue tip to the roof of the mouth.
The vowel ā represents a prolonged "ah" sound (as in father), and ī represents a long "ee" sound (as in feet).
Maintain a rhythmic, devotional meter suitable for classical Haridasa hymns.
Blend compound words smoothly across hyphenated line breaks in traditional singing style.

Summary (Kannada)

Summary (English)
In this devotional composition, Sri Vadirajaru (with the pen name 'Hayavadana') earnestly prays to Lord Gopalakrishna to straighten the crookedness of his mind and help him cross the ocean of worldly existence. Reflecting on human frailties—such as endless worldly anxieties, egoistic attribution of success to oneself while blaming God for sorrows, and knowingly walking into the trap of material illusions like a moth to a flame—he surrenders to the Lord for ultimate deliverance.
