ಅರ್ಥ: ಗೋಪಾಲನ ರೂಪ ಧರಿಸಿದವನೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ದೂರ ಮಾಡುವವನೇ, ಕದಂಬ ವೃಕ್ಷದ (ನೀಪ) ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತು ಗೋಪಿಕೆಯರ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಮರಳಿಸಿ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ಶ್ರೀಪತಿಯೇ, ಬೇಗ ಬಾ.

English Meaning

Summary: In this composition, Sri Indiresha Dasa affectionately invites Lord Krishna to appear before him. He recounts Krishna's divine qualities, his role as the destroyer of sins, and his playful acts like returning the clothes of the Gopis. The poet expresses a deep desire to behold the Lord who resides on Sheshagiri (Tirupati) as Indiresha and protects his devotees.

Stanza-wise Meaning:

Pallavi: O young lad of the Gopis, possessor of noble virtues, protector of the cowherds! I wish to see You, please come, come, come.

Stanza 1: O Lord in the form of a cowherd, the remover of sins! You sat upon the Neepa (Kadamba) tree and returned the garments to the Gopis; O consort of Lakshmi (Shripati), please come.

Stanza 2: O Lord who resides in the ocean, wearer of beautiful garments! With Your gentle smile, accept our salutations and let me see You in bliss; please come.

Stanza 3: O Vasudeva, who is free from all flaws! Standing atop Sheshagiri, You protect all Your servants. O Indiresha, please come.
