ಅರ್ಥ: ಹನುಮಂತನೇ, ನೀನು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಮಹಾ ಬಲವಂತ. ನೀನೇ ಈ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಪ್ರಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲ ಮೂಲಗುರು. ಈ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನ (ದಿವಾಕರ) ಪ್ರಕಾಶ ಹೇಗಿದೆಯೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನೀನು ಮಧ್ವಮತದ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗುವ ಬಿರುದು (ಗೌರವ) ಆಗಿದ್ದೀಯೆ.
ಮೊದಲನೇ ಚರಣ (ಹನುಮಾವತಾರ):

ಅರ್ಥ: ಅಂಜನಾದೇವಿಯ ಮಗನಾಗಿ ಜನಿಸಿದ ನೀನು, ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರ್ಛೆ ಹೋದ ಕಪಿ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಲು ಸಂಜೀವಿನಿ ಪರ್ವತವನ್ನೇ ಹೊತ್ತು ತಂದೆ. ಮಧುರವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ನೀನು, ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು (ಶರಧಿ) ದಾಟಿ ಹೋಗಿ, ಕಮಲದಂತಹ ಕಣ್ಣುಳ್ಳ ಸೀತಾದೇವಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನ ಉಂಗುರವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಧೈರ್ಯ ತುಂಬಿದೆ.

ಅರ್ಥ: ದ್ವಾಪರ ಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಂತೀದೇವಿಯ ಪುತ್ರನಾಗಿ (ಭೀಮನಾಗಿ) ಜನಿಸಿದೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಾದ ದಾಯಾದಿ ಕೌರವರೊಡನೆ ಸವಾಲು ಹಾಕಿ ಹೋರಾಡಿದೆ. ಮನ್ಮಥನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನ (ಕಂತುಪಿತ) ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಕೌರವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ, ಧರ್ಮರಾಯನಿಗೆ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಿಸಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟೆ.

Stanza 1 (The Avatar of Hanuman):
Anjaneya garbhadali udbhavisidyo neenu sanjeevanava tandyo sakala kapigalige
Manjubhashana neenu sharadhiyanu datideyo kanjakshi seetege unguravanitte
Meaning: You were born from the womb of Mother Anjana. To save the fallen monkey army, you carried the Sanjeevani mountain itself. O sweet-spoken one, you crossed the vast ocean (Sharadhi) and presented the signet ring of Lord Rama to the lotus-eyed Mother Sita.
Stanza 2 (The Avatar of Bhima):
Kuntiya garbhadali udbhavisidyo neenu panthavanadi dayadiyarodane
Kantupitana koodi kauravarana gelidyo santoshadinda samrajya kaigonde
Meaning: You were born from the womb of Mother Kunti (as Bhima). You challenged and fought against your rival cousins (the Kauravas). Joined by Lord Krishna (the father of Manmatha/Kantu), you emerged victorious over the Kauravas and joyfully established a righteous kingdom.
Stanza 3 (The Avatar of Madhvacharya):
Madhvavataradali muniveshavanu tali advaitavembo aranyavanu taride
Madhvashastravembo matava nirnaiside muddu hayavadanadasa neenahudo
Meaning: In your incarnation as Madhva, you took the form of an ascetic (Muni). You cleared away the dense "forest of Advaita" with your logic and established the definitive school of Madhva Shastra (Dvaita). Truly, you are the beloved devotee of the charming Lord Hayavadana.
